This was a personal project inspired by my friend’s bedroom. It began from a moment of boredom and sudden curiosity. While I was sitting in the room, the scene in front of me started to feel more visually interesting than I had expected, so I decided to recreate it on paper.

I first approached the project with a simple HB2 pencil that I found in the room. However, I wanted to try something new, so I began looking for other materials around me. I found ink and a stick of charcoal, and decided to use them even though ink was not a medium I had worked with before in my art projects. Because of this, much of the process became improvisational. As I worked, I had to adjust to the materials, fix mistakes, or find ways to make unexpected marks feel intentional.

This piece taught me the importance of exploring new materials and following sudden curiosity. Art is a broad field, and different mediums, ideas, and approaches all contribute to developing my personal style. Through this project, I learned that trying unfamiliar materials can help me better understand my own preferences and discover new ways of creating.
